A Bit About Me
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist, I approach the needs of my clients with customized treatment strategies and collaborative care. Every client that comes to therapy is sharing and their personal truth and life experiences. I respect the vulnerability that comes with the therapeutic process and strive to provide a safe and challenging environment in order to promote personal growth and achievement. I know that therapy and self-exploration can be hard to navigate but with guidance and support the therapeutic process can deliver such triumph over difficult circumstances.
Work Experience
July 2020 - Present
October 2017 - Present
June 2015 - June 2017
In July of 2020, amidst a global pandemic, I founded Creative Approaches to Therapy Inc. I knew there was a need for creative, engaging, and accessible therapeutic services and I wanted to use my experience and education to contribute to the fulfillment of these needs.
After Graduate school I was hired as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Sertoma Centre in Matteson, IL; a non profit organization devoted to serving individuals with mental health disabilities. During this time I was able to formulate quality clinical services in the form of individual therapy, and Outpatient and Psychosocial rehabilitation groups.
I started my journey in the helping professions with gaining admission to Adler University's Master of Art: Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy program. During the program I gained much experience during my double clinical internship at Cermak Health Services within the Cook County Department of Corrections, and a non-for-profit called Sacred Transformations.
